(LOS ANGELES) - After an 11-year, eight-record relationship with Geffen Records, guitarist Pat Metheny has switched labels and signed an exclusive, long-term contract with Warner Bros. Records. Signing with Warner represents something of a homecoming for Metheny -- the label distributed his early recordings for ECM Records as well as his albums for Geffen until 1983. "I'm excited and happy to be rejoining such a great company and look forward to making lots of new music under their banner," the nine-time Grammy winner said.
