Soul Asylum

Flannel-wearing Indie Rock guitar heroes in the '80s, they briefly became celebrity-dating MTV stars in the early '90s.
In the early '80s, the Replacements, Husker Du, and Soul Asylum were forerunners of the Minneapolis sound.
Soul Asylum were one of the best live acts on the idie club circuit in the 1980s; their energy was unmatchable.
The band originally called themselves Loud Fast Rules, which neatly describes the pleasures of their early releases.
After the band hit big with "Runaway Train," they played at Clinton's inaugural in 1992.
