Rock Daily reported last month on speculation that a Simon and Garfunkel tour would kick off in New Zealand, and today sources confirmed the duo will embark on a reunion trek of Australia and New Zealand, Billboard.biz reports. According to Pollstar, so far a June 13th date has been booked at the Vector Arena in Auckland, followed by a June 17th show at Boondall, Australia’s Bisbane Entertainment Center, a pair of dates at Sydney’s Acer Arena (the 20th and 21st), two gigs at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena (the 25th and 26th), a June 30th set at Hindmarsh’s Adelaide Entertainment Center and a July 2nd show at Perth’s Burswood Dome. The duo also have four more shows booked in Japan in July. Art Garfunkel briefly joined Paul Simon onstage in New York this past February.
In more tour news, AC/DC once again board the “Rock & Roll Train” and plot the first dates of their latest Black Ice jaunt, Gogol Bordello caravan from California to the All Points Festival in New Jersey and Scott Weiland books solo shows this May. Full dates for all three treks after the jump.
