Shawn Mullins
Although often being referred to as a one hit wonder, Shawn Mullins is more than that. The singer songwriter from Atlanta had already released records on his own labels, when Columbia Records approached him in 1998. His song "Lullaby" went Top Ten the same year, combining folk pop ease with modern laid-back electronics. The result was a platinum record on his hands, an anthology follow-up covering his first ten years of music, and the official sophomore effort "Beneath the Velvet Sun" from 2000. After that, he joined folk supergroup The Thorns.
