Sandie Shaw
Sandie Shaw, born Sandra Ann Goodrich, became the "it-girl" singer of 1960's Britain. Shaw was signed after appearing on a bill opening for Adam Faith and the Roulettes. The second single was the charm. Her rendition of the then unknown "(There's) Always Something There To Remind Me" spent three weeks at number one on the U.K. charts. Paired with songwriter Chris Andrews, Shaw had a string of Top 20 hits including "Girl Don't Come," "I'll Stop At Nothing," and "Long Live Love". In the eighties Shaw experienced renewed interest in her songs thanks to the Smiths.
