Cray was an army brat and traveled all over the country before his parents settled in Tacoma, Wash.
Guitar great Albert Collins played Cray's high school graduation. Cray's band would later back the blues legend.
Believe it: Cray's video for "Smoking Gun" was played regularly on MTV. That was in 1986. Was Carson Daly even born then?
