Rahsann Roland Kirk was one of the nuttiest guys to ever pick up the saxophone -- and one of the best.
His style mixed together traditional post-bop, free-jazz, soul and funk music.
Kirk went blind at the age of two. By age 15, he was making his own saxophones.
He also invented instruments like the "trumpophone" and the "slidesophone."
