Prong
Although thrash metal combo Prong never sold millions of records, their importance in music history is high rated by peers of the genre. Put together in 1985 and not giving up until 1996, the band always made their very own version of menacing rock. Prong recorded four albums for Columbia (later Sony) and fluently changed their style to a more industrial kind of metal. Many of today's bands still cite Prong as a major influence and their 1994 release "Cleansing" as most important. Now and again there is always talk of a reunion.
