Organized Noize

A three-man production crew from Atlanta, Organized Noize scored their first big hit with TLC's "Waterfalls." They were the main sonic force behind several acclaimed albums by Goodie Mob and Outkast, fusing soulful live instrumentation with creative exploration and lending credibility to a southern scene dominated by Master P and his imitators. They eventually started their own label with artists like Witchdoctor and Cool Breeze but saw limited success. Organized Noize have also produced for Curtis Mayfield, Kurupt, and En Vogue, and have contributed to more than a dozen movie soundtracks. In 1997 they were declared "producers of the year" by The Source magazine.
