My Bloody Valentine

It's hard to overemphasize the impact of this band's gauzy, noisy sound on music in the early '90s.
Kevin Shields and Colm O'Ciosoig formed My Bloody Valentine in 1984, and promptly moved to Berlin.
The title to their first mini album, "This Is Your Bloody Valentine," was inspired by the Cramps.
Colm O'Ciosoig (MBV's ex-drummer) now plays with Mazzy Star's Hope Sandoval in a band called the Warm Inventions Group.
Kevin Shields, the mind behind the guitar noise of MBV, gained thirty pounds and joined Primal Scream.
