Jefferson Airplane
Started in 1965, Jefferson Airplane were one of the first nationally known San Francisco Psychedelic bands.
Jefferson Airplane later went by the name Jefferson Starship and then just Starship. They remained popular through the 1980s.
Before singing with Jefferson Airplane, Grace Slick was in a band called the Great Society.
A number of people passed through Jefferson Airplane, including members of Moby Grape and Quicksilver Messenger Service.
