(NEW YORK) - The cast of musical characters continues to grow for the upcoming film "Blues Brothers 2000." Reprising their roles from the 1980 original are James Brown and Aretha Franklin; also featured will be musical icons B.B. King, Junior Wells, Lonnie Brooks, Sam Moore, Wilson Pickett, Taj Mahal, and the original Blues Brothers band. Featured contemporary artists will include Blues Traveler, Jonny Lang, and Erykah Badu. Music is being supervised by Paul Shaffer, who also will appear in the Universal Pictures film, scheduled for release early next year. Universal Records will release the soundtrack.
