Harpers Bizarre
Ted Templeman, Richard Scoppettone, Edward James, Richard Yount and John Peterson founded Harper's Bizarre in 1963 in San Francisco. Their first single was a cover version of the Simon & Garfunkel hit "The 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin' Groove)" which peaked at 13 in the US charts. Its follow-up, "Come To The Sunshine", a song originally penned by Van Dyke Parks, peaked at 37. That same year, the band also released "Anything Goes" which made it to number 33 in the UK charts. Harpers Bizarre released four regular albums and various compilation records such as "The Best Of Harpers Bizarre".
