Isaacs' music is responsible for more rockin' and rollin' than Elvis Presley. A true bad boy with a dangerous reputation and a surprisingly vulnerable voice, Isaacs never compromises quality. Before ruling Jamaica as its Lovers Rock superstar, Isaacs had been an electrician and a cabinet-maker. Isaacs formed the African Museum record label in 1973 with friend Errol Dunkley. Isaacs suffered from personal and legal problems in the mid-1980s and was even jailed for a short time in Kingston.
