Goldie Lookin' Chain rose out of the hip-hop ghetto that is Newport, Wales to rock the bells off fans. "Guns Don't Kill People Rappers Do" hit the U.K. No. 3 slot in August 2004. "Your Mother's Got a Penis" reached No. 14. Goldie Lookin' Chain got their big break supporting fellow Welsh eccentrics Super Furry Animals. They've since supported the likes of the Darkness and the Streets (leading to the "An Ounce Don't Come For Free" tour). Posing as rappers is only part of the GLC joke. They're also styled as "chavs" -- the British version of trailer trash.
