Funkdoobiest
Formed in 1991, Funkdoobiest are taken under the wing of DJ Muggs (Cypress Hill) right from the start. The Latin hip-hop trio's debut "Which Doobie U B?" is put in stores in 1993. Three singles, among them "Bow Wow Wow", help the record go gold. With 1995's "Brother Doobie" the band can't fulfill the expectations to duplicate the initial success. Three years later they shrink to duo format and are being left by Muggs but still release another record called "The Troubleshooters" before receding from view with the underground hit "Papi Chulo".
