Enigma

Launched by the early Ambient House crossover hit "Sadeness" (1990), Enigma turned to slick, New Age-flavored Dance Pop.
Enigma were the first to popularize new age chant music in dance culture, most notably with their hit "Sadeness" in 1991.
Enigma's Michael Cretu achieved his earliest distinction as producer of Mike Oldfield's gold album "Islands" (1987).
Following the success of Enigma's chant-driven early hits, sales of Gregorian chant LPs boomed worldwide.
"[The Church] is mysterious club and very paradoxical. You could make five double albums about these gentlemen." -Cretu
