Chris LeDoux
LeDoux offers a mix of traditionalized cowboy music and new country hits with weathered vocals and radio-friendly backing.
There are many country singers who front cowboy. But Chris LeDoux was actually a bareback riding rodeo champion in his youth.
Chris LeDoux's early songs were narratives of the bronco busting life he lived. He sold cassettes out of his truck at rodeos.
Garth Brooks dropped Chris LeDoux's name in the song "Much Too Young (To Be This Damn Old)." It kick-started LeDoux's career.
On March 9, 2005, LeDoux passed away from cancer. He was only 56 years old and had recorded over 20 albums.
