Brooks & Dunn
Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn were the bee's knees of Nashville in the early '90s, popularizing the "electric slide" line dance.
Their slick and warm tones range from heavy, knee-slapping honky-tonk boogie rock to new country, tears-in-beers ballads.
In the history of country music, no other duo has sold more records and CDs than Brooks & Dunn.
The only other duo in the history of music retail to outsell Brooks & Dunn is Paul Simon & Art Garfunkel.
Brooks grew up next door to country music legend Johnny Horton and he played music with Horton's daughter when he was young.
