Bill Bruford
Pop/jazz Drummer Bill Bruford was born on May 17, 1949 in Sevenoaks, Kent, England. Since an early age he developed a unique drum sound and distinctive time signatures, which he featured in his many collaborations along the years. Playing for the British rock band Yes in the 60’s Bruford later joined Genesis for a short period followed by a stint with King Crimson. While playing with the band for almost 25 years he managed to lead his own projects, such as forming the jazz band Bill Bruford's Earthworks as well as recording a self-titled jazz-fusion solo cut.
