They drank hard, they played hard. Signed with Nuclear Blast, British heavy metal group Benediction put out its debut LP, "Subconscious Terror", in 1990. At that time the group was Barney Greenaway, Peter Rewinski, Darren Brookes, Paul Adams and Ian Treacy. When vocalist Greenaway joined pioneering grindcore act Napalm Death, he was replaced by Karl Willetts for "Grand Leveller" in 1992. 1998's "Grind Bastard", featuring covers of Judas Priest and Twisted Sister, was called Benediction's tightest album since its debut. A long silence followed "Organized Chaos", released in 2001.
