Early heroes of the rap/Funk/Metal scene, 311 formed in Omaha, Neb., in 1990.
Composed of Nick Hexum, S.A. Martinez, Tim Mahoney, Chad Sexton, and P-Nut, they debuted in 1993 with "Music".
Their 1995 LP, "311" (also known as the blue album), went triple-platinum with the hits "All Mixed Up" and "Down."
